Perhaps my history teacher did not know much about chess, if whatever you're blabbing about is true, @Savage47, but you can go argue with him.

If your history teacher actually said that then he's an idiot because there's a ridiculous amount of evidence to the contrary.

Regardless, an adult, (especially a chess player) should be responsible for educating themselves. Blaming someone else for your ignorance isn't an excuse.

Chess history? Nah, I am more interested in educating myself in chess play. And that is what he taught my class, so when the teacher teaches you something potentially wrong, you blame the students? I don't understand your logic.

And can we just wrap up this discussion? I am sick of this.

lol...what the hell is the 400pts nonsense you have pulled from nowhere?

If you calculate Fischer's performance ratings in his run up to the wc you will get a number in the 3000-3100 range. (depending on when exactly you pick.) ...

Ever pick cherries?

… I said YOU pick whatever years YOU want. ...

"in his run up to the wc"

Yeah...because I was allowing you your choice of years. ...

Excluding the 1972 wc match itself and whatever you consider to be before the "run up to the wc"?

By the way: "... Anatoly Karpov ... was an amazingly strong world champion ..." - GM Simon Williams
