why do more guys join chess club then women?

Isn't that basically what chess is?
because women have to feel very humble for really long time in chess. Woman only accept humbleness if they get a boyfriend in exchange for the sacrifice.

Based on my conversations with women, including my three sisters, most women do not enjoy turning a guy down. If he is sincere, it's very hard to do without hurting his feelings immediately ("sorry - not interested"), or giving him false hope that it might happen at some point in the future ("thanks, but I have a boyfriend right now").
he`s right... we feel awefull after rejecting people, its guys we have to worry about

Have you actually LOOKED at the guys in your chess club? I've looked at the guys in mine, and they ain't exactly the cast of "Friends." There's the fat guy in the faded Star Wars tee, the guy who hasn't washed his hair since the last meeting, the guy who thinks shaving is for weaklings, the guy who clutches his ECO to his chest as if it's the crown jewels, the guy who loudly insults his opponent at every move and bangs the clock with his piece, and the nerdy kid with a 180 IQ and 2100 rating who tells all his opponents how pitiful they are--until he's beaten. And then he wanders around the rest of the night looking over people's shoulders and snickering.
They creep ME out. I can't imagine how the average woman would react.
yes, we have guys like that but we have one or two that r actualy cute, in a nerd way, and hot in a geeky way. ether way guys r crazy

Several years ago I quit playing at a chess club because I was the only female player. At one moment i began to feel very uncomfortable there, because there were some guys that didn't liked it to be beaten by a girl, and made some inappropriate comments. Eventually I left
in the chess club i attend the men women ratio is 3.5:1, we have 3ish girls in the club at an average meeting
