Will It Be Misused? If It Will Is It Worth It?

People can still quote you and provide years of constant humiliation.

RonaldJosephCote

years of constant humiliation??   Leave that to the professionals.   I like that comment about coffee.wink.png

Its a trap  Chess.com is trying to get us to THINK before we post. Its a travesty of Justice.....we won't accept it......and we're gonna to appeal this decision to the highest levels of the Supreme Court. We have posted for YRS without thinking. Just because you can make something better....doesn't mean you HAVE to.  All of my nonsense post make a lot more sense than I do....that's for dam sure!  What we have now is a system to DELETE what you wrote. What we want.....is a system to delete yes.......but also an option to bring back or RE-post a comment if you change your mind.....OR if your medication changes. Just last week I looked at a comment I posted and I thought.....That's not what I meant at all. You should have to hit the post button 3 times.....with this message popping up each time.......

HorribleTomato

not really there's no way to MISUSE this

superchessmachine

Yeah there is. Say something bad and then delete itl

HorribleTomato

So that's GOOD! If ya quote it they can't rid of it if no one sees it it doesn't matter.

old_school_dad

Earlier some guy insulted me so I returned the favor. Later on I saw that he deleted his initial insult leaving me to look like the the unwarranted aggressor. Next time I'll quote them.

doesn't help.  the old chess.com used to keep all edits in invisible tags - so nothing went away.  these days posters change their post and even claim you misquoted them to make them look bad.

yeah, people can change the post and then report you for "putting words in their mouth"

Um...I don’t know how to delete or edit my posts on the app. So I have to be extra careful about what I type.
superchessmachine
