Will you become a CM ? ( or a NM, or a IM etc )

Can't remember how I did set that, but I never get those type of notifications.

Btw I'm still managing to resist the temptation to peruse the "Why Is the Rook So Short?" thread (despite my increasing love for the title)...

i like the title, too, but, 120 pages? something tells me i'd fall asleep of boredom before reading any witty responses.

Plus, if you post something then you end up getting stuck with constant "new message" reminders on a thread that pretty much makes you projectile-hurl.  Way back when I remember I (for some reason) posted something on that egregious "Can a 1300 beat a 2700" thread...probably something like, "Wow, this is the dumbest one yet."  As a result of which, I had to keep seeing it (and worse yet, being reminded of it) over and over on my notifications list...

Below the place where you type your comment there's a little box and the word "Follow."

If you un-check the box, it I believe you'll no longer receive notifications for new posts in that topic.

Is that true?  I thought it was some other list ("Following" as opposed to "Tracking").

Well we know why the Rooks are so short. I mean the King and Queen are the tallest and they stand in the middle of the first rank. Therefore as we start to move away from the " Royals " the pieces get shorter and as the Rooks wanted the far outside spots they of course had to be quite short, very simple.

There's a guy who didn't stop until a craftsman made "proper" rooks for him: http://deludoscachorum.blogspot.com.es/2016/07/la-escala-real-de-las-torres-de.html

Note that he has no picture of all the pieces set up on a board.  Will the rooks look goofy on the ends, being all huge like that?

Pulpofeira

To be honest, I think this guy is a bit of a poser.
