xmas presents

so i was thinking about possibly getting a subscription to a chess magazine for xmas. what is a good one to get and why? (i don't know anything about any of them yet)

also, i was considering possibly getting rybka 4 with perhaps the fritz gui. i'm currently just using free engines at the moment. is it worth upgrading?

Chessbase is a great software, and i think you should buy the gigapack Chessbase 11, included fritz/rybka i think.

The magazine should be new in chess.

it's actually quite difficult for me to pick xmas presents. i don't really enjoy stuff or things. i don't like having a lot of objects and crap i never use. i find it very depressing and bothersome. my girlfriend is just getting angry at me because i can't think of something for her to get me for xmas. i thought something chess related would at least get used.
