Now the kids are spanking the adults - hey kid, how about a friendly game of chess - OK, maybe only $1 game ... Alright, congratulations from a sore loser... You're very good at it !!

Laughing 2 hours a day is nothing.

But thinking again, I guess 2 hours would be a lot for a little kid.

The youth players have always been the most dangerous.  It's only in movies and other fiction that the long gray beard is the world champion.  In real life its some GM in their 20s snatching the title from someone in their 30s or 40s.

9 is impressive though, I wonder how young it could get?  I can't really imagine it going much lower.  They say this is youngest US master?  Or do they mean youngest master is in US?  This kid is the youngest master ever right?

the national master title he received is a USCF title so is only applicable to US players

In the US, they call someone with a 2201+ USCF rating a "national master". As other countries have different ratings systems and often no equivalent of national master anyway, this is purely a US thing.
