HELP! I'M LOSING THIS TOURNEY -- ANY WAY TO WIN?

Sort:

I'm playing a tourney, and I'm losing hard and fast against this one player. She's already creamed me once. This is the board set-up as it currently stands; it's my move (I play white).

IS THERE ANY WAY FOR ME TO STILL WIN THIS ONE, OR DID I TOTALLY BOTCH IT?

THANKS,

ERIN W.

Jokes? or did you mess up with pasting the fen?

Unless you pull off a miracle this one is lost.

No joke, and no error in pasting the FEN -- that was the board set up.

In my defense, I'm losing so badly here because I accidentally messed up a positioning in a conditional move, mistakenly handing over my queen, which caused a cascade capturing effect, and in a matter of minutes I was suddenly in this embarrassing position. I thought that -- at the point the board was at in the graphic above -- I thought it was probably a lost-cause, but I thought maybe I could at least maybe dance my king around until my opponent checked my king 3x with the same piece and thus stalemating us, (I think chess.com uses that rule, right? Most OTB players do, anyway), because a stalemate would at least let me save some face. But it was long shot -- I just wanted to double check with you guys anyway.

This is the worst chess game I've ever played, I think; even if it was all because I accidentally put my queen on the wrong square in conditional moves, it's still shamefully poor playing on my end.

When I was setting up the conidtional moves and I accidently placed my queen on the wrong square, I actually saw that error almost immediately, and tried to delete the "if/then" layer I'd just made, but my opponent was online at the same time as I was, and we were making moves very quickly. She made her move and triggered my bad conditional move in the instant just before I could erase the layer. So she got a free queen and most of the rest of my power pieces just sort of fell into her lap as a result. It was like a domino effect of failure. Sealed I'm sure she wondered why I randomly gave her my queen and thereby essentially handed her the game, but she didn't complain about the development. So embarressing. It's just one of those things I guess.

Honestly, even if it hadn't been for my little blunder with the conditional moves page,  she would have probably still beat me ... but at least it would have been a little more graceful of a loss, on my part. This is such an EPIC fail for me, lol, it's just humilitating to even look at it. Losing is one thing -- losing happens -- but usually I go down fighting; but after my little screw up, this girl totally slaughtered me and didn't even have to break the proverbial sweat.

Ugh, and it was my first tourney, too. No more conditional moves for me. Embarassed

oh wow. I would categorize this game under "freak accidents" then and just play others. maybe challenge her again if you want to get revenge, explaining what had happened.
