Fake Flash update site...

Has anyone get directed from the game to a fake flash update site? Chess.com keeps directing me to a fake flash update site in the middle of the game.

Hi guys. I've let our team know about the issue. If you see it pop up again please take a screenshot. There is a guide on how to do so here: http://www.take-a-screenshot.org

Please do not install java or flash from any popups whether on this site or on another site. If you're concerned about your java or flash being out of date, please visit either official sites at the links below.

Sometimes it's fake Java update, sometimes it's fake Flash update, but always poping from nowhere in the middle of a game (redirecting...)!

Thanks for investigate!

I got some Artemis trojan from such a fake pop-up a while ago. McAfee sorted it out but I learnt always to go to the original vendor's site for updates.

Ok, I'm gonna sound mean here, but seriously. IT SHOULD BE COMMON SENSE THAT YOU DON'T CLICK ON THE WEB BANNERS!!

Thanks for looking into it.

I usually install risky things in virtual machines, but I had no choice except to install uTorrorent and I believe it was because of that. Through I could be wrong. Now, i Re-imaged my laptop and haven't seen those losers' sites.

VidPlusMediaPlayer is an unwanted program that always shows fake updates and allows the users to download its updated version. If you are one of them who is annoyed by facing such ads then download Automatic Removal Tool which is capable to solve your probleems.
