A game just ended for me too with my opponent winning due to abandonment. We both had around 20 min left and I was moving pretty quickly.
THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM - REFER HERE FOR DETAILS:

For some days now, every time I open live chess it tells me not to abandon games or make opponents wait intentionally. And I don't. Now, today I played a 15+10 game against angelo111 and after his (black) 10th move 10....O-O the game INSTANTLY ended to my loss. "Game abandoned, your new rating is 1419." INSTANTLY. I don't understand how on earth I abandoned the game. I had 2 minutes MORE time left than my opponent.
I think it might have something to do with my network cable, it's somewhat broken and doesn't always stay in place, so if I listen to music online at the same time it can stop. Then I just put the cable back better and it works in a few seconds. Are those delays the reason chess.com thinks I'm intentionally making people wait? I usually make my moves pretty fast and I never just leave computer if I'm in hopeless position. I either try to win/draw with some kind of swindle or else I resign.
I don't understand how I'm abandoning these games on purpose, and I really don't make people wait for more than 10 seconds if I disconnect. Obviously I sometimes think a long time about my move, but that cannot be an issue to anyone. Just wondering. It's fun to play chess anyway, but if I start to lose my rating & even be forced to end games "I abandon" more often...well, that just sucks.
Just saying.
