Thanks. I read the link carefully. I can assure you that I have never done any of those things. Sometimes, I see the abort window before the board has even been set up for the game, so I can only assume those times are couting against me somehow. I'm back to being banned every 5 minutes now. I'm a big fan of the site, if I can help in solving this problem, which I can only assume to be some sort of bug/time out problem, I'll be happy to do so.

What operating system, browser and browser version are you using? If you are seeing that the game has been auto aborted before it even starts you may be experiencing bad lag/disconnects. Can you try the suggestions found at the following link and see if they help solve your problem?

Thanks for the reply. I'm using Firefox 21.0 on Windows 7. I have looked at the link you sent and yes, many of those are true. I usually enjoy a game of chess while I have other things running on the background(in fact, while waiting for them to finish). Seems to me, though, that the amount of communication between a client and a server for a game of chess is so minimal that it's hard to believe that would be a show stopper. Unfortunately, I'm back to being banned :-( Perhaps there could be a way to differentiate between malicious players and those with a lag problem?
It is very frustrating to see that warning that my play is restricted and I have to wait 5 minutes, even though I never did any of the things it says there(stalling, abandoning, etc...) Anybody else get these reprimends by mistake? Is it a bug on chess.com?
