Players keep abandoning matchs before the first move. Why?

TL;DR: Is it common for players to leave seconds into the match?

If you look at my archive of games(and after you had a healthy laugh) you will see that an absurd number of players leave my games before the first move is made. On my side it says they disconnect or abandon and "players that do this often will be restricted." I am not sure who that refers to but seem like a warning to me. Usually one cant resign before move 10, so something is wrong.  I am new at the live matches but in the week I am here happens multiple times a day.

It counts as a win for me, I gain rank and points at arenas but make me look like a cheater. Often I gain streaks-wins in arena tournaments because of this issue. I feel as an side effect matches me to face stronger players more often since it does not represent my anywhere close my true level of skill. Other archives I have seen don't seem to have this problem.

Any comments or suggestions on how to deal with this?

With your 743 blitz rating, you are matched with many new players with bad connections. They don't want to quit but their bad wifi isn't capable of maintaining the connection.

Take a few lessons and try to understand more about protecting your pieces and looking at what your opponent does . As you rise in rating, you will find better players with better connections.

Thank you for the help and the tips, all you say makes sense. I was just so weird that multiple players managed to connect and could not even move e4 before they leave. Thanks again and case closed.

Another possible reason could be (form some cases at least) people abandoning any game they are black on, or if they reckon you are rated too high above them for them to try to beat. (This is rare, but might account for one or two of your issues.)

It is possible, I don't know what goes in other players heads, that why I lose most my games.  Working on it.

Also, since I made this topic I bumped into another one that might be related, link below. Discussion suggests some players may lose a bunch of score so they seem weaker. Strangely, is the opposite of my problem, I get score and look stronger than I am.
