Bullet is totally unplayable

PalestineForever
ALL opponents seems to be moving at pre-move pace with 100% accuracy. It's happening since a few day, I'm about to record videos of it. Example, if you get your queen and rook forked will be natural to move the queen. I moved the rook instead, but my opponent immediàtely catched my queen with a speed it seemed pre-moved. A human can't just evaluate that in few milliseconds. Bullet game is literally totally unplayable now, I don't know if because of a new hack used by players or chess.com just flooded the server with its scamming bots.

Just because you are a bad player doesn't mean your opponents are cheating.

I like when I lose against better players than me. I don't like losing against cheaters or invincible bots or when my chess.com connection drops for no reason other than the balancing algorythm decided I had to lose. I also don't like winning against a player whose connection suddenly dropped when he was clearly winning against me, but the above mentioned algorythm decided I had to win. Hope is more clear now.

What is the cheat code I type in to play against the invisible bot?

You'd be amazed at the speed of stronger players seeing tactics. Last week i watched @Hikaru streaming on his Twitch channel as he played Puzzle Rush. I'm still trying to assess the board position, he's on to the next puzzle...

Rasta_Jay

Hikaru is mad fast, he said he doesn't look at the whole board when solving puzzle rush.. He has memorised all the tactical motives. He sees them right away..

Strong players are out of context here. The problem arises when a 1500 rated player plays like Hikaru or Morphy......

I played 72 moves in a 60 second game today. I’ve slowed as I’ve aged. When I was in my 40s, I could make over 100 moves in 60 seconds using the touch pad on my laptop.

Your far to weak to encounter cheating at bullet.

Coffee_Player

Agree! Bullet chess is totally unplayable on chess.com recently because of persistent lags in connection to the chess.com server.

The problem with a lot of these "amazing" moves is the ping compensation software chess.com uses. The stated goal of the ping compensation is to make the table more level for those with slower connections. If you have a fast ping vs. a very slow ping, say a sub 50ms ping vs a 150ms plus, by the time you see your opponents move you've already lost time due to the ping compensation. And now it seems players are exploiting this weakness in the software by causing their pings to be very high.

I've played games where I'm constantly waiting for my opponent to move only to lose on time.

chess.com, please get rid of this ping compensation software. You're tilting the table in the other direction; toward the slow pings. In the blitz tournament Hikaru won recently Wesley So's opponent (sorry I don't remember the name) in the semi-final round lost precisely because his ping was faster than  So's ping. If you watched the event you may remember a discussion about this after the opponent's time seemed to mysteriously disappear.

There is no "balancing algorithm"...

There is sometimes lag or slowness - not to mention disconnection - and this is very irritating indeed!

Besides, bullet is not really chess... people are doing silly things and getting away with them because of the crazy pace.
