You might not like the sound of it, but I would certainly recommend playing some correspondence games as a supplement to your live chess games, especially if you're serious about improving!

Bonjour fellow chessmates!
I started playing chess since I was about 10 years old and have loved the game since. However, at the start of high school I quit my chess love due to a dramatic loss on MSN.com. I was young and figured that rank meant everything. And seeing how not even close I was to #1 out of 20 thousand something members I stopped. Now I am in college and discovered a show that had chess and made me nostalgic of all the great games I had. Now I am back in the game and enjoying every moment of it. I know I had some terrible losses in the past but the only way to get better is to pretty much lose am i right?
Well hope to see you guys in a game! So far each game I have played has been great! Besides the fact that the server disconnected my previous game... haha However, I hope that chess will even keep me more focused in real life haha.
