I don't know. And don't worry, i'm not that good either.
Poor sport winners
It's the fun, ralfie, youngster's fun mainly. I do not know what they receive, but it sure isn't much; let them be, maybe one day they will learn how to act decently. The only thing that bothers me is that the game of chess is involved. Sportsmanship, as they say. It doesn't help that we're on the internet, anonymous men can be mean.
When guys act mean.... (how do I put this politly... meh.), they likely just are. Maybe its in there genes, maybe something sad angered them, maybe its a disorder. My point is, sometimes they just can't do anything about it, and don't let that make you angry.
Please don't take this the wrong way Ralfie, but most folks with a 950 rating are children, and unsupervised children tend to act out (I think they used the phrase "act up" when I was in school). Get just a little better and your opponents may be nicer. Hey, it's a plan...

True, but its takes alot of effort to up you rating.
I like to play chess! I'm 74 years old and just a 950 rating and play live chess 30 minute games. I don't read chess books or study various openings, just play by the seat of my pants because I enjoy the game. I lose more than I win.
I almost always after a game, whether winning or losing make a "good game" comment to my opponet in Chat.
Every once in a while when I get thrashed, my opponet makes snarky comments about my playing abilities. My assigned opponets are all in my 950 rating range. The comments are sophomoric and uncalled for.
I do not respond. What benefit do they receive by acting this way?
