speed lag and timeout increases

HELP appreciated!

When I first sign in to chess.com, I'm shown as "good link, little lag". Immediately I get onto a live game, this switches to "Poor Strength .. major lag" and then games just timeout before they even start. Maybe 1 in 30 work. Tried changing the Acceleration as in FAQs = no luck. Anyone found an answer?

Somehow you have completed more than 15,000 speed games since 2011.

What is your setup? When did this problem start?

Did you change anything in your setup recently?

That is why it is frustrating: really great fun playigngames and now it has come to almost a stop. No changes other than Google's weekly slide-something-new-into-the-mix.

Hi Caniwi!

I tested your account and it seems good.  Can you message me your OS and Browser/browser version so I can send you some steps to fix this?

Hi Shaun - apologies, just spotted this comment. Afraid I'd gotten so frustrated, I'd stopped playing in anything other than tournaments with Chess.com. I do miss it alot. I'm using Windows, latest Chrome updated and with Acceleration stopped. Any suggestions much appreciated.

I just lost like 4 games in a row in which I was ahead on time (and on material).  My lag cramps to a halt when we both are coming near the 11-9 secs left.  The thing is that during these games lag wasnt really present during the 80% of the game, only as its coming to an end. These were 1-0 games. Has anyone else experienced this?  I really feels like my opponent was cheating on me. But after it happened in a row I guess that can't be the case.

Yes, I have had many enjoyable years of playing without problem. This issue started about 7-8 weeks ago. I'm using Windows and the latest Google Chrome. No, nothing changed; chess.com just went from great to so slow as to be impossible to play, almost overnight.

For what it's worth, M'soft did some sort of unrequested upgrade to my pc software a few months ago and then I could suddenly play again without timing out. Certainly looks like it wasn't a Chess.com problem.
