Well, Black always has 1... hg 2 hg Rg3 (if nothing else).
Can black survive?
Ah, well that does tend to change things...
Why don't you give us the continuation? (just so there are no more mishaps).
2 potential passed pawns with one being at the sixth rank? King separated by the g1 Rook and an improperly placed Rook for Black? Yeah, I believe this would be a skirmish even jack sparrow could not escape from (Parlay?)
Vengeance69 i just found this continuation, please watch it and tell me if you still think that there's not escape
Scottrf actually that was the error of my rival in the game, but remember that in the first play black can play hxg6, or maybe in the second, after the check with the rook on f2
i had the thought of the Kb3 move saving the Rook but if Oscar's line in the addendum play out with hxg6 hxg6, does not the Rook have to rest eventually on f8 and the King now plays cat and mouse with his counterpart to prevent the e pawn advance? This is why i do not like to enter Rook and x no. of pawns endings. Lots to cover and if you are in time trouble, even more so.
I arrived to this position in a tournament, I was black and I was sure that didn't have salvation, but "fortunately" my rival erred and I won. However, I think that without white's error, in this position black can survive, and maybe even won.
