Well, there are a few other reasons
Nb4 Kxd6; Nf4 Kxd6; Ne7 Kxd6; Nc7 Kxd6

1. Nf8 Kxd6 2. Be7+ Kd5 3. Be6#
Its mate in 2 starting with ...Rd8!!; Kxd6 Bc8 mate!
