    and chessnoob1997: isn´t the solution Kxh5#?
  • #23
It also seems that 1.Rxh5# is checkmate for chessnoob1997's puzzle.

It looks like a lot of the positions being given are flawed.  One that nobody picked up on yet is xalways.  Ie. 1. Rd3 exd3 2. Qc8 de 3. Qb7 #.  Incidentally, I thought the idea of this post was to encourage daily puzzle submissions, not put them in here unchecked.  There is another forum for our own problems.  But dont be put off, this is a good way to learn. exactly, forkman's puzzle is a mate in one puzzle... Nd6# !
  • #27
the puzzle of sotyguirist is a cool yet well-known pattern of checkmate...
  • #28
Similarly, chessnoob1997, rook x h5 is mate first move.

Sprite wrote: Chesscrazy127, that's a good example of a smothered mate, but isn't checkmate as white can play 2.Kxa2 and avoid the mate.

     If Kxa2 then Ra7#
