Studying with Elide and this new ending where the composer has been awarded the first Honorable Mention. Didactically, one of the most interesting Studies that was in that competition. However, the judge on duty only inspired him with this simple comment: "A spiritual way of approaching the theoretical endgame of two knights against a pawn. The counterplay of the knights forces White to sacrifice all his pieces." 
 

Actually, this study is much more illustrative than it appears to be. According to TROITZKY's theory, two knights win against a bishop's pawn if they succeed in blocking it no further than their fifth line; and in this endgame, precisely, White fights to reach with one of his pawns that coveted sixth line, which would protect them from any surprise.
