Dear Anupralhad,

the stipulation is "Meredith", meaning legal positions with only 8-12 pieces including kings.

Please be so kind to open another thread for your puzzles that do not meet the requirements. :)

Turm_Breuberg

So I will post an entry:

Awesome puzzle Turm_Breuberg. Are you a proffesional composer?? You keep suprising me with your puzzles!!

Turm_Breuberg

No, I am quite an experienced solver, but not a real composer even thought I think this one I did quite well.

Still it is a little bit 19th century style, the key is obvious to any regular solver and it is possible to mirror the problem and get the same result via short castling. Also the rook on f6 is only guarding the f-file and could be moved to f7 or f8 without changing a thing or even be substituted by some blocking pawns or guarding pieces. So there are many minor flaws that make this alltogether a rather amateurish composition.

But for one hour of try-and-error in the morning to make the idea work this is a nice position. :)

Adriandmen

Well, I think it's a great puzzle. I think you have a great chance to win this contest Wink.
