Mate in 4?

  • #1
    Experimenting my Puzzle Making skills!!

    Anyone recognize this position?
From Glenn Glaasland vs Magnus Carlsen, Norway, 2001.

I think Carlsen is better associated with a different mate in 3.

Perhaps you should experiment with your counting skills instead...

Perhaps. Perhaps I'm just as human as you, and I made a mistake?

    That wasn't the puzzle.

I copied the puzzle from online. I googled GM puzzles. What i created came from game limited details i listed above. So the puzzle white was position played by world master against GM Carlsen.

I didn't make up the moves.

Third. I stated in beginning... I was expirementing with trial error to learn how to make puzzles vs entire games.

There are mistakes and then there is not being able to count to four.

Wow. Aren't you a smart one? No.

The "experimenting," I was referring to the tool used to insert the game board or puzzle. They changed the tool mechanic used to create and insert the game boards, and that was my first actual "puzzle" I created and submitted for a thread or review, for a discussion on a thread, vs making an entire game and submitting for a thread. So it was a trial and error using the tool, creating the puzzle settings, etc, as it was my first.

As for the game used, like I said, I googled GM Puzzles, first one came up was Gaasland vs Carlsen.

So I created the puzzle as it was displayed.

Suddenly every one is nitpicking every thing they could find without cause... Not even discussing the puzzle mentioned.
