My first chess puzzle
As said in the title, this is my first attempt at puzzle composition. I don't have an engine, so if you can refute it, I apologise.

I can't refute it, and I think it's a wonderful puzzle.
After 6. Rxa8 black basicly has no winning chances.
I also wonder what would happen if white plays 1. Qxf6?

Wouldn't 4... Bg4+ be better? well black is still lost there. Nice puzzle.
4. ... Bg4+ allows 5. f3, and if black tries to stop 6. Rh8+ with 5. ... Bc8, then 6. Rh8#
After 5. f3 black will play 5... Bh5 6. g4 etc.
The point is that being a piece down is better than a whole rook down. Of course, black is still lost.
If 1. Qxf6 Bxf6 2. Nxf6 Nxc3!! 3. Nxd7+ Kg7! and white is lost, being a peice down. There's probably another way to come out with more material, but the pressure on h8 is difficult to negate.
I think black can stay down a piece instead of a rook:
After 1. Nxf6 black simply does not recapture on f6.
And if 1. Qxf6 then 1. ... Ke8 2. Rh8+ Bf8.

After 1. Nxf6 black simply does not recapture on f6.
What move would you suggest for Black after 1. Nxf6?
White has two big threats:
(1) the obvious: 2. Nxd7+
(2) the less obvious 2. Rh8+ Kg7 3. Nh5#

I did not see the mate in 2 threat for white.
I wonder if white can win this game with 1. Rh8+?
1. ... Ng8 2. Qg7
and if 2. ... Ke8 3. Qxg8+ Bf8 4. Qxf8#
Does this make mate unavoidable?
If you click 'solution' and then 'move list' I've looked at a couple of variations, including 1. Rh8+ to which black's response is Kg7.

For some reason, I missed 1. ... Kg7.
