Strange mate in two

You almost got me with this one! It doesn't follow the composition rules but it is a beautiful checkmate. Probably an old problem.

Note that this is not a "model mate" since the kings square is covered by double check. It does however feel as a model mate since both the double checking pieces are under attack. Which means that, without the double check, the king wouldn't be checkmated!

Yes I really liked the way checkmate worked out on this one. These last few puzzles are late 19th century I found on a puzzles of all kind site. There is a bunch of these two movers on there that I am going to post the ones I think are good.

Remellion

Futility Closet's chess problems and puzzles I find to be all on the easier side (well, it's not a chess problem specialist site). Still they are all snappy and neat, and mostly sound (there was a cooked one once, but he took it down after an hour or two.)

@ Remellion a great site. I think those little get to the point without the complexities puzzles help me to understand and see them in the larger puzzles.I seen it plainly with you and Arisktotles variations on that other two mover.

White king becomes a weapon on the e2 and f2 squares. So many player fail to realize the king can be a useful offensive weapon or can be a supporting piece in a forced mate.

Upon first glance, the position through me back to my Berkeley days. But it wasn't too difficult after all.
