I saw this puzzle on a magazine long time ago:
Semi-accurate title--not just weird, but unbelievable, and also inaccurate.
Took me so long to realize that board was flipped.
I think 2. ...Nf6 would have been a lot better for black.
Was it the promoted pawn, or the strange notation?
Being able to backstep their own pawns and promote on their own first rank would certainly encourage some to develop their pieces faster.
why inaccurate? 1. Ne7 does the same with the same concept and 3. ... Nf3 instead of 3. ... b1=Q is not influent. A puzzle does not have to stem from a real game. Nice here was to realize that the board was flipped.
