I was thinking let's separate truth and happiness.
That's clearly the case. The truth doesn't always make us happy does it?
I suppose one would hope that discovering the meaning of life would bring profound delight.
I don't know why particularly we would assume that.
Perhaps it's because of this idea life is fair.
Why oh why do we insist life is fair?
Perhaps because it makes us feel safe to believe that.

Suffering. Well pleasure and pain exist within nature. If you mean suffering in terms of existential crisis I'm working that through myself!
