Ron if you stay off that would be a good start
GUNS
Johnny Cash wrote the song, “Don’t Take Your Guns to Town.” For open-carry states like Wisconsin, the “Baby Face” Rittenhouse acquittal (three shot, two fatally) has deadly implications beyond its “militia defense” absurdity. Private paramilitaries are illegal, white supremacist or not. So-called “minutemen,” defiant of curfews, strutting amidst roiling turmoil with assault weapons, are malevolent, brown-shirted mobs. Notoriously unreliable in battle (“broken staffs,” Washington called them), militias, like the Second Amendment supporting them, originally enforced slavery. Now, that thuggery recruits police/military cast-offs and misfits, many with PTSD.
Thanks to the Rittenhouse verdict, people with guns can defend shooting the unarmed, arguing any aggressive movement signaled the victim’s intent to use their own firearms against them. In Kenosha, even negligent homicide, aggravated assault; reckless endangerment didn’t stick. By wielding an AR-15, instigating Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber to physically respond (one brandishing a bag, the other a skateboard), Rittenhouse’s cop-wannabe vigilantism became a “license to kill.”
“Have Gun, Will Travel” is America’s business card now, without the intelligence and moral clarity of Richard Boone’s Paladin.
“Thanks to the Rittenhouse verdict, people with guns can defend shooting the unarmed, arguing any aggressive movement signaled the victim’s intent to use their own firearms against them.”
More idiocy. The pedophile had earlier said if he sees rittenhouse he would kill him. A journalist and protestor testified he saw the dead pedophile charge him at a full sprint. This is confirmed by video. Good riddance burn in hell.
How is LEGALLY carrying a gun instigating the other violent criminal to smash a skateboard on your head?

I'd never heard that song before. Thanks.
You never answered my question about guns being used in school shootings.
So how do you feel about this?
Now what about guns being used in school shootings?
In fact the k look ast masks shooting we had was 1 dead and 4 shot.
Remember in France a terrorist used NO GUNS and only a truck to kill 86 and wound 458. Far far more than any mass shooting.
Because you don’t need guns to kill.
In fact if a crazy man grabs a large chainsaw from the store abc simply walks into the local preschool….he’s killing everything in there. Nothing is stopping him.
Unless you have a gun take whatever John Wick crap going on inside your head and forget it.
He is killing everyone and leaving the place a bloodbath.
You simply can’t prevent evil, you can only respond to it and stop it when it rests its head. The best way to stop it is a gun.
There was a terrorist in US who tried that (truck killing). Only managed to kill 3 people... had planned it for months. Pretty ridiculous to throw your life away like that (he was pretty young).
Anyway, cars and chainsaws have multiple purposes. Guns are unnecessary.
What’s next? Art is unnecessary? Music?
It is a fundamental RIGHT in this country, same as freedom of speech.
We have the right to bear arms for many reasons and the most important one is to stop any potential tyrannical leader from taking power or to remove one if he or she should take power. We’ve seen this happen over and over again and in fact it’s happening in places like North Korea right now.

Guns do have multiple purposes. When I was growing up we hunted (with guns) to eat (yes llamas to if found one), today target shooting. And some just like them their sexy.
Self defense. There are at LEAST 100,000 defensive uses of firearms per year and depending on your definition as many as 2.5 million.

Hunting. There are 15.2 million hunting license holders in the United States. Hunters play a key part in keeping animal populations to sustainable levels.
Sport shooting. More than 20 million people in the U.S. participate in target shooting regularly, spending both time and money on the sport they love.
Collectors. The top 14% of gun owners – a group of 7.7m people, or 3% of American adults – own between about eight and 140 guns each. The average is 17.
Discouragement of govt overreach. An armed population is especially hard to control and force your will upon. The founding fathers knew this because they understood human nature. As long as there is a threat of an armed revolt it or resistance it makes the likely hood of any potential dictatorship very remote. In today’s world alone we need only look to Russia and Putin, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Venezuela to see authoritative governments abusing their people and violating basic human rights. There is no magic that says it cannot happen here also.
In closing owning a gun is a RIGHT. And as such NO REASON need be given as to why a person owns 1 or even 100.

I fit into these three.
I don't hunt much anymore for various reasons. Although I have a number of firearms, none of them are available for defense. My long guns are locked away and I couldn't get to them in a timely manner for home defense. My handguns are a good distance away down in Pennsylvania. So far (knock on wood) I haven't needed one for defense. A shotgun did once stay handy for a bit after a tornado blew through and knocked out power for several days.

We have the right to a well organized militia, not for people like you to own guns.
As for fighting a tyrannical government, that's a myth. Historically that's never happened without the aid (or indifference) of the military.

In other words their uses include:
killing, killing, killing, etc.
Your last 2 sentences don't make sense to the point that if you really believe that, it suggests to me you have some mental deficiency.
North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Venezuela to see authoritative governments abusing their people and violating basic human rights. There is no magic that says it cannot happen here also. And the people have no guns but lots of government.
Russia and Putin have a lot of corruption all have massive surveillance and all want you gun free people to stock their prisons. All you gun control people move I'll buy your one way plane ticket.
Yikes. This thread is teeming with East European, Russian, and various "commie and conspiracy" bots. Surely you guys have better things to do, like play chess? Ha!
