At this time we need to chat about marmalade ( yes in a thread about beer lol ). I've mentioned the Innis & Gunn Brewery of Scotland before and now they have brought out a marmalade named " Marm & Ale ". They are going to produce this new product on a very limited scale at first and it will only be sold in Scotland for now. I hope that someone over there gets a chance to try this marmalade and give us a report, could be interesting.
How much is your beer?
It has come to my attention that some people will mix " Stuff " in with their Beer ( shocking but true ! ). For example some folks add about 50 % tomato juice in with their Beer. When I first heard this I thought that it was a bit odd however I've started adding ginger-ale to a Beer as well. Recently I tried some Fuller's London Porter ( yup from the UK ) and I found that I needed to add a bit of extra flavour to this brew ( well nobody is perfect ).
i had never thought of adding anything to beer, and i wouldn't know where to start.
drop a shooter of any of your favourite spirit eg volka, whiskey, cointreau etc. into your pint of beer, preferably draught.
Sometimes I wonder if Brewery workers tend to be happy on the job. For example in the city of Edinburgh we find the John Crabbie & Co. Brewery. I mean with a name like that can the staff there be happy or not lol. Btw I bought a bottle of their Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer recently, not bad at all.
--- Sometimes I feel a little Crabbie ! No wait that should be sometimes I feel like a little Crabbie. I happened to be over at the Liquor store earlier and found that they were out of Crabbie Ginger Beer. However they did have some Crabbie Raspberry Beer in stock so I felt that I should give that one a go, not a bad brew to be sure.
25 oz bottle Delirium Nocturnum $12 or a 6 pack Guinness Nitro IPA $8. If all else fails Corona or Heineken are fine also about $8 for a 6 pack. If I see it on tap BelHaven or Beamish are my favorites.
Thanks Donna that means alot coming from you sweety. Smooches.
Thanks to capitalism, here in the dinky state of Indiana (the smallest state west of the Appalachian mountains) we have over 100 microbreweries with plenty of choices to please your palate. I have two within crawling distance of my house. To hell with the corporate swill, drink local! By the way, growlers for $8-$10 US.

what sucks about indiana is that liquor stores are closed on sundays.
ffs, it's sunday.
Yes , welcome back to the 1800's here in Indiana. They've tried to change the law prohibiting Sunday sales but the liquor store lobby has managed to keep it from happening. Just stock up on Saturday! 😵
I actually don't like beer or wine. Always preferred whiskey or vodka. Jolly shandy's like a nice soda 😉

maybe i'm naive, or, you're messing with me, bunny, but, i'm not drinking that.
Quality or Quantity ? Some serious beer drinkers like to claim that one should only drink bottled beer. Innes & Gunn's Oak Aged Beer (from Scotland ) used to be shipped to this area in 355 ml bottles. However recently they changed over to 500 ml cans. I think that this is a win-win as I no longer need to worry about breaking the bottles when I'm carrying this brew around plus the cans are about 30 % larger, great idea, Cheers !
Another imported brew that I have bought recently is Erdinger Weissbrau, a wheat based beer ( different but not bad ).
