Lol, I know I'll sound now confusing, but I'm not at all into music. I mentioned the things I mentioned, for their social and political value, mostly. I know it's not obvious, but if there is yes "Punk Rock" as a musical genre, Punk is not and never was anything about music: it's political and philosophical.

So forgive me @Optimissed for lacking interrest in too much music History comparisons, as soon as we are living the political and ideological field. Poetry is fine, and sure important, just I enjoy it from affar, being only vaguely interrested in the background and history of poetic arts.

I'm weird, I know...

It's ok. I often go three months without playing a record. Sometimes more. I'm watching Match of the Day with zero commentary and zero punditry, due to what happened to Lineker. Enjoying it .... crowd noises only.

I don't like most punk. Boring. I have a few of the odder type of punk records. I'm glad about this because it found a connection with Noodles. Classical music. That's what's important ... people. Of course you were talking about punk as a sort of ethos.

Not something I ever watched, shantung1111. I think it's about vampires? I never watch anything like that. Certainly not modern stuff. Sorry to be boring.

Huh, Match of the Day finished early so I switched over and there was a film called "Robin Hood". The info was that it was about an archer who fought against the Norman invaders and joined the army of King Richard Coeur de Lion. Seeing as how Richard the Lionheart was a Norman, that didn't seem convincing, so I assumed it's an American film. Anyway, I took a look and it was full of background music. I hate films that are full of background music because it completely kills them. American films use music to illustrate and reinforce mood, because a lot of their film directors are no use and can't do it without artificial aid.

To make matters worse, it was Irish style music, full of awful, slow, droning fiddles. Now, since most of England was Saxon at the time of the Norman invasion, somehow I thought they'd got that a bit wrong too, so I switched it off. If Originals is an American film I wouldn't watch it. In general, I don't think they make enjoyable films any more. Or movies or whatever. Boring, overly sentimentalised predictable rubbish, mainly. Especially in the USA.

Basically the best thing I've seen today, apart from my wife, was that Turkish pianist I posted earlier.

You aren't concentrating! I have a very vague idea of what I ate yesterday!

A black flag is supposed to represent Anarchy (from a Greek word that means "without a boss"). Historically, in the Russian revolution of 1917, the Red (Communits) and the Black (Anarchists were allied against the White (Tsarists). Once they won, the Red got rid of the Black.

So far as I understand it, communists around that time were divided into those who wanted anyone in authority to be a Party Member and those who didn't mind. Those that didn't mind were, obviously, real socialists. The Reds (Bolsheviks) were not socialists but totalitarian authoritarians. Lenin was a deeply evil man and Stalin confirmed that true Communism should be Marxism-Leninism. The mistake was made all those years ago, which led to the current situation, which was bound to occur.

Obviously, Bolshevism was the similar to Nazism and Menshevism was socialist/liberal/Marxist and were the good guys.

MG - is this guy using heliocentric or geocentric calculations?

Avatar of Optimissed

Good questions for Noodles, except it's a bit assumptive. It assumes that you understand that you can have artificial satellites, perhaps far outside the Earth's gravitational pull.

Obviously, any calculations he uses will be based on reality.

Avatar of noodles2112

My question is if there are 5500 outer space satellites orbiting earth why do they still need helium balloon satellites?

Reality would be the constellations are fixed and have been since the beginning of timewink.png
