I honor my good friend, Ted. He died a month ago at age 84. For more than 50 years he led a remarkable life of loving service to others and to his family. He was the most loving, selfless and humble man I've known... and he was funny. = ) I'll never forget him.
I bumped into his wife in town today in a parking lot. She looks just fine... with friends'n family. Ted led a most loving and honorable life. I'm grateful to have known him and to have his example.

It's only fitting that I mention, also, my uncle Robert, who literally gave his life for his men, holding back attacking forces, while his fellow comrades escaped, during a fight in Italy, during WW2.
Thanks again for your thoughtfulness...only speaks well of you, Pete. :)
Thank you Iron Butterfly and everyone....this past Sunday, June 30, 2013, Arizona lost 19 hotshot firefighters while fighting a forest fire in Yarnell, Arizona...they were a wonderful crew of young men...unfortunately the winds shifted without warning and they all perished..the whole crew....this is the worst loss of firefighters since 9/11...my thoughts and prayers go out to their families, friends and all who put their lives on the line to save our forests...
