I just learnt them and mastered them in one day! And my record time is 2 minutes!!! How good is that for a newbie?! haha

I average around 10-12 seconds on the 3x3 cube, and have been cubing for almost 4 years now. The one thing I can say is that its great that you are getting into it, and its an awesome hobby! Ive been to 4 competitions so far, and the cubing community is awesome. Everyone is so supportive and awesome.

To get fast, Use the CFOP (Cross, F2L, OLL, PLL) Method. I've memorized all OLL and PLL algorithms.(Don't worry, it daunted me too, until I finally sat down after procrastinating for like a year lol) It took me about 2-3 years to learn all of them.

Sadly, because of nerves, I haven't been able to get a 10-12 second average in competition. But I'm working on that.

My main cube is the X Man tornado V3 flagship with FZ calm and FZ stealth lubes.

3x3 in about 48 seconds, idk about 2x2, 4x4, mirror, and megamix.

Yeah, it’s been a while since I solved any of those so I’m not sure how long it takes for me to solve 2x2
