I don't know how many of you here follow college basketball.  But for those who do, you probably have noticed by now that a college well-known for its chess team (UMBC) beat #1 University of Virginia in the Round of 64 in the March Madness tourney last night.  Not only was UMBC the first #16 seed to defeat a #1 seed in the history of the tourney, it was also a victory by double digits (74-54).  Here are some links to show the said score:

I also don't know how many of you are participating in any of the March Madness bracket contests this year.  But I know for sure that this upset destroyed numerous brackets across the country.  Roughly half of them had UVA going to the Final Four and roughly 20% of them had UVA winning the entire tourney.  I was not one of those people though as I had them losing to Cincinnati in the Elite 8.  So it didn't hurt my bracket too much.  But I cannot say the same for the said people.
