Thanks for the recent posts. Javan64, my comment on not liking any other TV series was of course tongue-in-cheek lol. Mind you Star Trek was so popular back in the 1960s that a bit of a fire-storm was started when the Networks tried to cancel the show. Letters from unhappy fan came pouring in and the show was brought back.
So ... Anyone else been to Vulcan ???

Yeah, a lot of good shows get zapped after a short run while many lousy shows stay on for years! Don't get me started on this!
Good Point Javan64, mind you I haven't had Cable or Satellite TV for years so I'm not up on the newer shows. I've a fair number of Videos which keeps me busy.
Recently I had the chance to see a movie made by the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Entitled as " Star Trek, First Contact " the movie is quite good and features the evil Borg collective. The movie has a time travel story-line and makes the most of Picard's hate for the Borg.
One item that I wanted to mention now in this thread is the fact that the Comic & Entertainment Expo took place here in Alberta a couple of weeks ago. The main guests were nine members of the cast of Star Trek: The Next Gereration including Patrick Steward. Sadly I was occupied elsewhere and missed all of the fun.
Thanks for posting the nice photo Artfizz, but I do have one question. Isn't Mr. Spock supposed to be very serious ? lol.

If you watch the episode, there is some fascinating dialog ...
Sheldon: I swapped my broken toy for Leonard's unbroken one - which he'll never open - so he'll never know. Everyone's happy.
Spock action figure: Well, I am unhappy.
Sheldon: I thought they weren't supposed to have emotions where you come from.
Spock action figure: I come from a factory in Taiwan.
Thanks for the info Artfizz, but I haven't had Cable TV for many years so I guess that I've missed a lot of " Great " entertainment. Mind you as a plus I have managed to miss the reality TV phenomenon lol.
The world of Science Fiction has suffered a serious loss with the passing of Ray Bradbury at age 91. He also wrote some Plays and Movie Scripts as well as his Books.

:)

If it was really "Reality TV" it would just be footage of people sitting around watching reality TV.

Thanks for the recent posts. One form of " Reality TV " that is often rather sad to watch is the news that is shown on Channels like CNN. If Mr.Spock were here to watch those items he would possibly say " Captain, what you Humans do on your home planet is not at all logical " lol.
Thanks for the post Jtt96. In the interest of full disclosure I must confess that I am not a logical type of being and therefore fit right in here on this planet. When I think about some of the decisions that I've made over the years I realize the truth of that statement. Mind you I have managed to avoid legal problems so far so I guess that I have had some good luck lol.

..... I'm not sure if it was even possible to like a show anymore than Star Trek lol.
.....
Oh, it was (and is) quite easy to like something more than ST, especially more than TNG, DS9, & whatever those other 2 were named.
I once saw a question in a forum on some other website, long ago: If Kirk & Picard fought to the death, who would win? Personally, I always thought that Picard wouldn't have a snowball's chance in a very warm place...
