Tom should seek professional help for his OCD. I don't think we can discuss anything on this forum to elevate his obsessive thinking. On the contrary, any kind of discussion will make it worse.
I will no longer post anything on Tom's threads. He comes across as a polite and friendly guy, but these discussions leads nowhere. It's like alcoholism; it doesn't feel right to go drinking with an alcoholic.
Good luck to you, Tom! I hope you will find help for your OCD. Your kids deserve it.
As always: play well, have fun,and make some new friends.
, and mindfulness can help, but not always. Infact, Im wondering if you have OCD, maybe you can become obsessive about monitoring thoughts ?
I think it's important to realize that the reason for all these threads/posts is Tom's OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Tom claims that he's looking for an answer on several existensial questions, but fails to see that it's the thought process he wants. No answer can satisfy.
Yesterday he admitted being tired of his OCD, but after a good night's sleep he's on it again. This kind of shapeshifting reminds me of other addictive behaviour.
