Now the Phillies with all that pitching are gone too. Halladay and Carpenter - what a classic match up that was! Hope Ryan Howard isn't hurt as bad as it looked. Shame, because he seems like one of the truly good guys in sports.

Congrats to the Tigers on prevailing over my beloved Yankees last night. I hope the injury to our rookie standout, Ivan Nova, is not serious. I hoped that veterans, Jeter, Rivera and Posada had one last run in them, but A-Rod, Tex and Swisher weren't much help this year.
