How can you checkmate with a king? In my knowledge for chess, you cannot checkmate your opponent by a king. But most of the people got the decoration of Killer King. How do you do that?

There shouldn't be a killer king award at all in my opinion because even if the king moves it is not the king that delivers checkmate. It's still the bishop or rook or whatever delivering the checkmate, the king just got out of the way.
