Don't think you can.
Chess.com lost my game because it was aborted

It's bad that the games are aborted, but I know that has been mentioned many times, but how do they justify the data loss? The game exists somewhere it just isn't linked into my account in a way that I can find it.

Aborted games do not get written to the database. That only happens when the game ends successfully.
When I get them I copy the PGN to a Library. collection.

Then I guess consider this site feedback. Data loss isn't justifiable. Games should never be lost, I also don't believe they should be aborted mid game. There's certainly ways to avoid it.

Dude, chess.com shut down and they aborted the game... It makes sense why. I don't think you're a genius programmer, and if you are, you can help out chess.com by fixing that. But otherwise the best anyone can offer is just look in your search history.

I am actually a software engineer. I have worked for major tech companies including the cloud companies that store everyone's data and are responsible for not losing it. I'm not trying to bring up the other website, but I haven't played as much on chess.com and therefore I was surprised my game would not only be aborted but lost from my game history.
The Internet Chess Club and FICS existed in the 90s and aborted games were still found in my game library. Lichess doesn't abort games during server restarts and aborted games are found in my game history there. It's certainly possible to make sure the games are not lost.
I dunno if I would call myself a genius programmer, but I am an expert in this area.

I don't know why the site doesn't flush games to the DB during a restart, but the current architecture doesn't support live restarts without either ending all games or disabling all new games until current games complete.
My understanding is that future architecture will be more distributed, and will likely support the ability to do something more flexible.
Chess.com aborted a game of mine in-progress during server restart. I was able to request a game review for it afterwards, but now I can no longer find the game in my games list. Is it possible to find my aborted game from last night?
I was playing a game last night and saw the notice that chess.com was about to restart. I didn't realize that this meant the server would abort my game in the middle of the game. I made a brilliant !! move and was winning the game before it was aborted. That's a big lesson learned for me, that chess.com doesn't resume where the game left off on restarts.
Even so, after the game was aborted I was able to request a game review / analysis. A while later, I went back to my games list to try to find the game and opening where I played the brilliant move, but the game is no where to be found in my game history? I understand the game was aborted, but does it not show in my game history? Can I find it?
