Do any of you feel like chess.com has become more of a social media platform? I mean, with all these club, forum, friends, chat, etc. features. I mean, it’s a subtle pressure about moving from a chess platform to a game. I do feel so, and after dabbling in all of this, I'm going back to plain chess.

Do you feel like they make you use all these club, forum, friends, chat, etc. features?

The site started as a social media platform. It didn't have the ability to play initially.

It depends on you. What you chose to be better at chess or sociality.

I'm temporarily closing my account to focus on OTB.
