I have been dutifully and happily doing my 5 lessons per week as a platinum member and getting a lot out of them. I just finished the series where NM (I forget his name, sorry), takes us through a complete game by Komodo against another computer and then gives us a series of five challenges based on that game. Good stuff.
Today I clicked on the next lesson series that came up, I believe "Nothing but Checkmates," and found to my dismay that each "lesson" consists of merely one checkmate--and that a fairly simple one--and no challenges. I solved three easy checkmates, and my lessons for the week were over. At this rate, it will take 20 weeks to go through all these "lessons."
I'm very disappointed that chess.com considers one simple checkmate to be a complete lesson.
Those are probably some of the old Chess Mentor lessons.
Some people had a fit when they were taken down. The short lessons result.
