That’s what I would like changed! An unlimited amount of aborts will ensure that my rating isn’t affected. I think you’re mistaking resigning with aborting. I pay chess.com to get better not to test my skills against people with a lower rating. An unlimited amount of aborts will allow me to play people with the same rating or higher without affecting my rating! I really don’t care to play people whom aren’t going to help me reach my goals of becoming a better player! I mean what’s the point..
If everyone was like that, no one would ever play anyone. Do you abort games at a chess tournament? Same goes for here.
Look guy, I didn’t sign up to participate in a chess tournament, perhaps eventually but as of right now I lack the confidence. To sit there at your computer and suggest that what I’m proposing, “no one would ever play,” is utterly absurd when there are millions, if not thousands of people, all over the world, at any given time with your rating or higher logged on. Look guy! I get it, you love your little cheap points, and arguing just for the sake of arguing, well with what I’m proposing you still get to collect your cheap points.
You can simply change the rating range of the people you play against when you go to find a game, no need to continue aborting against lower-rated players.

What I'm trying to say is that by your logic, what if players higher rated than you don't want to play you, and only want to play people higher than them? And then those people want to play people higher rated than them. It's a never ending cycle, and no one would play anyone. Playing lower rated people is just part of the game, and you should accept it instead of complaining about it. It's equivalent to aborting every game because your opponent is playing d4 when you want him to play e4.
My membership and the amount of money I have spent should allow me, along with the rest of us, unlimited aborts!!! At the start before a piece is moved of course.
