Maybe true, but when Jamie left OD, no one missed Jamie.

Well, I assume that was the case. I wasn't there for the big event.

Open Discussion has deteriorated.  Don't need to wallow in a cesspool with a bunch of turds.

VirtualKnightJoakim

Actually, we got two new admins and OD has been clean-up to extend few would have thought possible. However, you are missed Jamie.

LOLZ ---------------------- You are missed Jamie but not a thing has changed.

VirtualKnightJoakim

10+ people have been temporary banned and we no longer tolerate violations of the club's rules.

BISHOP_e3

"we no longer tolerate violations of the club's rules"

Simply NOT true.

VirtualKnightJoakim

Please report any violations to the admims and include url and post#s

Postafi

Many of us are not compulsive informants.

url and posts#s are unreliable when threads get mangled.

PRTSC saves lives.

VirtualKnightJoakim

Actually , urls and post#s are permanent but we accept screenshots too. We are happy that many have stepped up and are helping cleaning up OD.

VKJ is not talking about main forum moderation by chess.com staff and mods.  He's talking about a private club (Open Discussion) that is run according to its own rules.  Staff and mods are not involved in running that club, and, like other private clubs, will only interfere in extreme circumstances (extreme cases of harassment, illegal content, etc.).

If you don't like the way the main forums are run, you might try joining some clubs and see if you like those better.

Right.  If I wanted to get sexually harassed by drunks, trolls, and engine-users, I'd rejoin.

Please yourself, Jim.  You are probably too sensitive, beautiful, and popular.

BISHOP_e3

Jim??

wayne_thomas

Dammit, Jim!  I'm a chess player, not some kind of miracle worker!
