puzzle rush feedback

PardonMyBlunders

Please write here any feedback for chess.com so they can have more ideas on how to make puzzle rush even better! Mine : The viewing of your failed puzzles should be quicker and not require you to leave the page where you score is shown immediately after finishing a rush, thus a. an automatic popup screen already loaded with the ones you failed, one gets to choose the position(s) for review and then click a simple review button  b. a review button inside the screen with your points(this would prolly be best), clicking it would change the chess position seen behind the scores at left side of screen into your first failed position.  This mode should maybe be called review failed, and it should be quick, not requiring you to load 2 different pages afterwards, (on beta)

PardonMyBlunders

the review itself should be happening in the "same" puzzle rush mode(but unrated), quick, with the green checks appearing on top of moves if correct, and quickly changing to next position if solved. If I solve now, 1 of three failed, it should give me the option to do the review again but now there are only 2 positions left. Get it? I think this would be coolest!

I’m not entirely sure you still can, but you used to be able to review the tactics completed on your rating tab.

You can view them but what @pardonmyblunders means is that there should be an easier way to see them without leaving the page. I agree.

Where is "Puzzel Rush" in the android app?

superchessmachine

The app has very few features. I highly recommend that you use the browser app instead.

Bob_Coulter

OMG all I've been using for over a year is the app. Ok thank you! Wish I'd been told that when I signed up.

superchessmachine

There are many more features in the web version. You are very welcome. Good luck!

Bob_Coulter

Rock on!

The sound that plays when you lose is way way way way way louder than any other sound on the site for me (Chrome Version 70.0.3538.110, Mac OS 10.14)

pepj

add the feature in the app and add feature with several times (7, 10 min.) for not GM people. Thanks for all

Most frustrating thing for me is that sometimes I'll be on a roll and then the next puzzle simply doesn't load. I'll be at like 17 in a row and then the app just stops giving me puzzles (just gets stuck on "correct"). Happens on both my laptop and my phone. I haven't noticed any issues with my internet connection (have done this on many wifi networks and on data), though maybe I'm just not looking hard enough...

Also, it's so addicting that I'll do it when I'm waiting in the drive-thru at McDonald's and then have to give up a good streak just to pay for my food.

I like to play chess with my Chromebook's touchscreen. It would be awesome if Puzzle Rush would allow my to drag and drop pieces with the user interface. As it currently stands, I need to touch a piece and then touch the destination. That is not as intuitive (especially when I'm trying to work quickly -- but not as accurately as I need to yet). I really like this feature, and hope to love it even more in the future.

superchessmachine

I think you should try tapping the piece you want to move and tap on the square to move it to. It works for me on my touchscreen laptop.

WeeBeasties

Yes, the tap --> tap interface functions. I just really prefer to drag and drop - it is faster, easier, and more intuitive. I know that it's possible because many other chess sites allow it (I'm not naming any because I don't think that it kosher to compare Chess.com to competing sites in this forum).

I'd like to be able to review the puzzles i missed after the game is over. Right now you can only see the puzzle.  I'd like to be able to try them again, similar to tactics trainer.

WeeBeasties

@justme2000 If you click on the red X, you can call up the puzzle that you missed and step through the correct moves. I have been doing that with my misses to try to reinforce that patterns that I didn't see at first.

PardonMyBlunders

yes and doing that requires 2 page loads before you can attempt the first failed puzzle. Then you have do redo it for the two next ones, so 6 page loads and needs to be in 2 chess.com tabs simultaneously to do it. Very slow and annoying

WeeBeasties

@PardonMyBlunders No argument there. I was just pointing out that it can be done. I agree with you that the current implementation is pretty clumsy.
