That would be great. However, it needs to run on a given site, and I don't think either ICC or chess.com would like to let their players play on 'foreign soil'.
A solution might be for chess.com to build his own, semi-automated, 45 45 League.

I used to play in this league years ago, and I played on FICS. We played teams based on ICC sometimes, sometimes they would play on FICS, other times we played as guests on ICC. I don't know if that's still something they do.
I remember playing on FICS years ago as well (in an FICS league run by the same people), but when I look at the eligibility requirements on the web site now, it appears to be ICC only. I don't necessarily need to play against ICC teams, I'd like to see a chess.com-specific league started up.
The turn based play here is nice and I usually try to set a self-imposed time limit to simulate OTB game requirements, but I'd like to play some longer games as well in live play.
I played for a while
Played in the team 4545 but the officials are rude and petty
What is worse they ruthlessly punish any slight infringement of the rules when you complain it is heard by the same unelected people
When they break the same rules they get let off when you complain they refer you to the same unelected people and guess what they get let off
Avoid
Any chance you guys could work with the people that run the Team 45 45 league to bring the league to chess.com? I guess any of us who are members could start one up, but it seems like it would take a lot of work to manage, and they seem to have things all figured out. This is probably the one thing that has me vascillating between a yearly membership here and a yearly membership at ICC (well that and slow-game tournaments in general).
