Can't tell you. I just collect the information from the this page: http://www.chess.com/forum/
THREAD GAME (QUESTION FOR STAFF)
Darn it all..petrikeckman was ahead of me on the chess.com page giving the totals.I just read past posts, sorry to have claimed the prize. Got too excited.
Wow, this thread lite up I just woke up. I'm gonna get a free breakfast at Denny's. I'll come back tonight, update the guesses, check the links, etc.
Could be chess.com has a program to read all posts older than x time and deletes those deemed irrelevent, greatly reducing the time to read relevant ones. Oh wait a sec... this may leave large gaps, a topic would lose all continuity.
I have Threads I started and on my home page it says how many posts there were; however if you actually go on these older threads the number of the last post is most often a lot lower than what it says it should be.
I do know it is because they have banned some of those original posters and anything they may have posted. Sometimes you know who they are because they were quoted in the Thread.
if i count forums i ll become old
If I keep waking up in the morning I will become old.
This is Candy Kane from Chess.com with a thread update and a couple announcements from RJC. The current serious entries are as follows; Aaron Go 212,965 BOYonFICS 87,782 Boogalicious 201,000 FRENCHBASHER 80,000 Luis Albert 105,000 RJC 50,000 mdinnerspace 3 million GuessWhoIAm 292,079 + 292,651 petrikeckman 292,071 threads, + 3,706,252 posts thatchampUK 159, Quadrillion 159,000,000,000,000,000 badenwurtca 20,465.8 I remember that .8 That was a fabulous thread BTW As far as the deleted threads. In my opinion, maybe we shouldn't count them, because Chess.com has already determined that they don't belong here. They got deleted. "How Do I Fix My Toilet?" "A Flying Fish Threw A Football At Me". If its IN the archives, its part of Chess.com. 2nd Issue; A question was raised about the pages NOT going farther than 104 As just a member, I can't address that. It might be a technical issue, it might be Erik's desire. IDK, and frankly I don't care. Take a guess. Maybe we could get more staff support & input to help us with the "parameters" of this experiment
I confused threads with posts... my bad. A quick view and no calc. revealed 3+million posts. Petrikeckman has accurately added the totals. Deleted/banned and outdated threads substantially effect totals.

I look forward to meeting you! NO THIS IS NOT A POSITION TO COUNT THREADS
I'm happy that I don't fullfit those "must" demands so I do not need to seek that job. IT-technology and php-, HTML-, javascript- and MySQL-programming which I handle quite well are damned wonderful hobbies but not as works. I prefer full-time hobby, nearly 16/7=sixteen hours per day. Just today I proggammed a little chat window for one person.
I got a call from Carl Sagan over the weekend He said, "Ronnie, put me down for billions and billions of threads on chess.com
My guess is that by Jan. 1st 2016 this thread will be locked or forgotten. How about a date for that occasion?
I would'nt say that , RoJoCo is an outstanding thread manager, a legend.
Babe Ruth is a legend, Winston Churchill is a legend, JFK is a legend; RJC is just one of us Hacks.
Don't do yourself down. You were here before Erik. lol
Does anyone know who played the first chess game on this site?
My guess is Erik.
The first game was aborted...
The first game is no longer available. The first available game is this one:
https://www.chess.com/livechess/game?id=2
Neither of those players was erik.
However, the first Online Chess game was played by erik.
If posts get deleted, are they still counted? Could account for fluctuations.
