No tournament play is not supported by the chessnut air unit.
Does anyone use a Chessnut Air board for online tournaments?
Thanks for your reply, @Gallinarius. However, I got tournaments working now with Chessnut Air and Pro.
Hi Joernupde
That sounds great, how did you get around that?
When I try tournaments, I can only play the first round. When round two is about to start my screen goes black.?
Can you share some information?
I contacted support at chessnut, and they confirmed there is an issue.
Cheers,
I wrote my own Google Chrome extension that replaces the Chessnut software and circumvents the problem. It is a little bit rough around the edges but works well for me. I can play all the rounds of a tournament now but still have not been able to win one. :-)
If you are interested, I can make the extension available to you. Just be warned, that it is not very polished yet. And so far, it has only been tested on my Mac. I could give it a try on Windows, though.
Hi, Kromok2!
I am planning to make the extension publicly available through the chrome web store. Right now it is being tested and improved. Gallinarius has done quite a bit of testing and made some great suggestions for improvements. If you DM me your email address, I can send you a copy of the latest version. It is still work in progress but definitely playable. I would ask for some feedback, though. 😇
As of now, the latest version 0.1.8 although still in beta it works really really well Great job from Jôrn so far!! , managing to program the interface that chessnut could not deliver, and should have been in the box from the start!
Long live the community!
Version 0.1.9 is available which fixes a bug that Gallinarius found. As I said earlier: if anybody else wants to give my extension a try, just send me you email address and I will mail it to you along with some brief instructions.

I'd say YES. . . But I barely understand difference between a UCI & an Engine at this point ☹️
I just finally made my extension publicly available in the chrome web store. For lack of a better name, it is called Chessconnect and can be found here.
There still seems to be a slight issue with the connect button not showing. If that happens to you jump around chess.com a little bit and it will show up eventually. This will most likely be fixed in the next release.
During the last few weeks I received a lot of positive feedback regarding the Chessconnect extension. Some users were asking for Lichess integration and I will be looking into this. I just wanted to ask here, how may users might be interested in a Lichess integration for the Chessconnect extension?
I am also planning to integrate the "Connect" button into the chess.com webpage more nicely. 😊
Important information: chess.com just released an update which is incompatible with the current version 1.11 of Chessconnect. I have submitted an updated version 1.12 to the Chrome web store. As soon as as google has approved of this update, it will be available in the web store and Chessconnect will be working again.
I am sorry for this, but obviously chess.com does not inform me of upcoming changes. Nor do I expect them to.
I have the feeling sometimes that Chess.com doesnt want third party hardware/software to be able to connect to them. The troublesome integration is why the Chessnut software doesnt work in the first place. I think they gave up on it. And now they are focusing on the EVO.
I dont know what we would do without you in the community
Great job!!!
p.s. The update IS on-line now.
For some reason you need the Link https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chessconnect/dmkkcjpbclkkhbdnjgcciohfbnpoaiam
I cant search and find it in the chrome store.
I would love to play live tournaments on chess.com with my Chessnut Air smartboard. But usually I can only play one round and then I am de-registered from the event and cannot continue.
Does anyone use a Chessnut Air successfully for live tournaments on chess.com?
