Whats the point in Arena?

I just played my first ever Arena and i'm speechless. I don't know what i expected but certainly not: 1 Player count tenfolding after the tournament has already started 2 Games being paired within the approximate elo range like every other normal game too 3 The whole leaderboard being filled by 600-1200s 4 Witnessing a suspiciously high accuracy with little to no time usage for calculation from much lower rated opponents in critical points of the games just for their brilliancy to vanish in the later parts of the game when they already have a winning position (the #1 Place of the tournament being a 800 elo Player on an account with 100 games played and having like 85% accuracy throughout the tournament) What the hell is the point in this tournament system? Besides the often discussed cheater infestation... From now on i'll only play Swiss, if at all, instead of losing 70 Rating points in 2 hours to much lower rated opponents who miraculously play more sharp than people i play against in regular matches

The tournament is so bad, I never thought about it, thank you for warning me before I could make any mistakes.
