you voluntarily joined the tournament and knew the time period allowed for one move. why are you complaining over your own choice ?
WON'T PLAY
I'm playing in a tournament and this one player won't move. I mean he comes in at the very last minute and makes a move just so he doesnt lose on time. He's holding up the bracket that i'm playing as everyone is ready to start the next round but cant because they still have a game tied to him. Can I report this player or something? I tried sending him a message but no response. What do I do?
If this is the tournament, then your impression that an opponent is delaying the start of the next round is incorrect.

Not only are there other players with ongoing games in the group, there are ongoing games in other groups. "Remaining Games: 752 (current round)"

"New rounds will start when ALL games in the current round are complete." This is true in any tournament. It is a source of great distress for people whose games ended months before.
By the way your diamond member opponent can have up to 99 days to make his next move. (90 days vacation cap if he is at the maximum + 6 day earned during a 90 day vacation + 3 days for the game clock to run down = 99 days)
I definitely understand your frustrations, but your opponent is playing within the parameters of the tournament. You can "turn him in" but he is not guilty of any transgressions of the rules. You will just have to be patient.
On the other hand, I think the tournaments can help this by speeding up the round towards the end. For instance, start with a move/3 days. But when the round gets to (say 75%) complete, speed it up to one move/2 days. When it gets to 90% complete, speed it up to one move/1day.... or something like that. Also, there is no reason to wait untill all games are finished to proceed to the next game. If players for the next round are set (mathematically), they should be able to start the next round. You can allow the insignificant games from the earlier round to complete but shouldn't hold up the tournament for these games.

Not doable.

Thanks for pointing that link out TadDude. If I have any examples, I'll be sure to send it to the moderators. I would think that the tourneys where only 1 advance from each group would be easier to find than those that advance 2 or more (since statistically these would have greater possible permutations).
