CORRECTIONS: See Scandinavian Defense (B01) O.H. Labone vs. Unknown, Birmingham 1901/Solitaire Chess/USCF October issued 2011 Chess Life Magazine pp. 16-17; Elaborated by National Chess Master Bruce Pandolfini!
2795-2725=70. I guess seventy-points makes a difference. I'm only a student of the game and both GM's are above and beyond my level of chess. I reviewed the game. The Scandinavian Defence has another name; The Center Counter Defence. "The Unfortunate Queen" writes Mr.Pandolfini! "And hail their queen, fair regent of the night," wrote Erasmus Darwin. In the Scandinavian/Center Counter Defense, it's all about the queen, for good or for ill. See Scandinavian Defense (B01) O.H. Labone vs. Unknown, Birmingham 1901/Solitaire Chess/USCF November issue of Chess Life Magazine pp.16-17. Elaborated by Mr. Bruce Pandolfini; National Chess Master.
na, i don't think it is an good defense
I need to learn how to defend this.
I like this opening!
a good atempt by black
after gaining such a great position initially, if anand was a bit careful he could have won easily.
good game but middle game is tuff to imagine whats going on ....
what next after dis?
Full of strategies i dont understand
why can't 41 ...Nc7? i consider that... 41... Nc7 48. Rd8+ Kh7 (or maybe Kf7 but i am not sure) 49. Rc8 (and now black Knight can't eat the pawn, because black would lose the Rook)... then maybe attack the rook to make it move
or a little more simple... 41... Nc7 48. Rd7 Nxa6 49. Rxa7
(anyway, i might be wrong... i can't only dream to imagine what would Kasparov think)
good strong devence
Opening: Scandinavian Defense: Main Line, Mieses Variation (B01)
