I thought the first time I saw the board royal flush I'd never see it again. Now, after more than a few 60+ (yes sixty) hour sessions at holdem, there is nothing I feel left to see. I have also on one occasion seen a boat suckout to a better boat only to come back and win because of the board. Example:
QQ vs 99
Flop comes 8 8 8
with two boats, both players go all in
Turn comes 9
9s suckout on Queens, as 9s full of 8s beats 8s full of Queens
River comes 8
Board is Quad 8s, Queen Kicker is the trump.

A few weeks ago at Foxwoods, I see following at 1/2 NL. Player 1 raises to $12, gets 3 callers. Flop is Q-Q-K. Player 2 goes all-in for $400ish. Players 3 and 4 fold. Player 1 calls the all-in with his last $400ish. 1 shows Q-Q. 2 shows K-K. Turn is brick, River is K. SHIP IT!

Quads over Quads is sick. I still havent seen a Quad vs straight flush suckout, but i did see st flush beat out 4 sets (above). I think the guy who said it must be a joke is onto why everyone was pissed. It looks like a setup. I remember Howard Lederer talking about someone being asked to leave a casino for folding Aces preflop...
In a home game I saw Royal Flush vs. Quads. About $120 pot. But still, pretty sick.
Ok, so this isn't exactly a suckout, but it's one of my all-time-favorite hands of Hold'em. I was playing a $1/$2 NL ring game at a brick & mortar casino. Maximum buy-in was $200 and I was doing quite well, sitting with about $650 in front of me after a few hours of play.
On this particular hand, I had the button. The action had folded had folded to the cut-off who raised to $5. I called, SB folded, BB called, and the flop came 6d 6c 6h. There's roughly $15 in the pot and the BB checks. Cutoff bets $8 and I call. BB raises to $30. Cutoff reraises to $80. At this point, I'm putting them both on big pocket pairs, so I check my cards again...yep still have 6s7s. I call $80. BB moves all-in for about $300. Cuttoff moves all-in for slightly less than that. I call. The BB looks pleased when he sees the cutoff turn over KK and proudly turns his AA up. When I turned my cards up to reveal that I had made quad-6's, there was such an outburst from everyone at the table that the floor boss came over to see what was happening.
Needless to say, I was berated for the next 30 minutes by both players with comments like, "How could you play 6-7 there?" and "Good luck with my money, you're gonna need it later.." I just smiled and remarked that if they didn't want me calling with my suited 6-7, then they should have made it more expensive to play. $5 isn't exactly a big raise at a $1/$2 NL game - especially when there were at least 4 players sitting with more than $400 at the time.
The moral of the story? If you're dealt a premium hand and aren't getting much action, you can bet less and maybe get a caller or two. However, you should accept that the action you're getting may not be the action you're wanting.

Exactly. Calling the original 8 bucks from the button makes it look like I'm just staying in with AK or AQ and hoping to catch a card or steal the pot on the turn if the action slows down. After that, I think the two guys were so focused on out-raising each other that they failed to notice that I kept calling... I was able to just sneak on through to the showdown...call, call, call. It didn't hurt that both of the other two players had very strong hands, but it was definitely the button that enabled me to disguise my hand strength so effectively.
i was going to play part time online, but Im too paranoid that there will be teams on laptops in the same room as eachother or communicating on AIM to push me out of pots. at least the dealer at the casino's rake is all you have to complain about there :)
Sickest suckout I ever had was...
I had J-10 suited in the Big blind
Folds around to the small blind and he calls I check
Flop comes J-10-2
He bets pot and I raise all-in(I was the short stack at the table)
He calls and turns over J-2
Turn Card was an 8
Then the river-only 2 cards in the whole deck can help him
River was a 2
It still breaks my heart.

AJK hearts. Everyone goes all in with a set (straight draw) except for 10s, who has everyone covered and is on a draw.

Board is Royal Flush, Everyone's chips are refunded, all four players instantly leave the table in disgust!
