Certainly one very positional opening that comes to mind immediately is the Ultra-Symmetrical English. I was wondering if anyone has any experience in a line such as 1.c4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. g3 g6 5. Bg2 Bg7, etc.
It appears reasonable that more tactical player would prefer e3 at some point to support d4 to open the game, so one thing that I am wondering is: do you play e6 as black in the hope of d5 or just accept playing d6 and settle for an extremely positional game?
