Currently, a FIDE Online Arena Grandmaster (AGM) and a member of the ferocious Mindoro Tamaraws team of the Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP).  A late bloomer having started playing chess at the age of 13 in Oriental Mindoro, Philippines.  He is a full-blooded University of the East Red Warrior,  a consistent gold medalist in the Division of City Schools, Manila tournaments, and perennial champion at the Department of Education - Central Office chess events in individual and team tournaments.  He is a licensed professional teacher, a part-time researcher, a full-time father to two brilliant children, and a loving husband.
